Jeffrey Alden Young, 58 of Webster Springs went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born August 1, 1961 in Webster Springs to George and Evelyn Milam Young and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.
Jeff was a member of the Emmanuel Assembly of God and loved the Lord. He was a family man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a disabled coal miner and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family on Cogar Mountain.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Cogar Young; son Clinton Tyler (wife Leslie) Young; daughter Caitlan Young (husband Dave) Riffle; brothers Mark (wife Shirley) and John (wife Shirley) Young; sisters Norma (husband Don) Rice, Shirley (husband Al) Tibbs, Nancy Williams, and Alida (husband Marty) Cowger; grandchildren Caden Marshall Young, Guinevere Evelyn Young, and Colebie Riffle; mother-in-law Mandy Cogar; brother-in-law Jackie (wife Kathy) Tonkin; sister-in-law Wanda Cogar; father-in-law Everett Sharp; and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jeffrey Cole Young; brothers George L., Velton, and David Young; sisters Edra Green and Genelda Young; and sister-in-law Mary Jane Tonkin.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Emmanuel Assembly of God in Upper Glade. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Church with Pastor Marty Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Young Cemetery, Bolair.
