Obituary

Gerald Bowers “Jerry” Rose, Jr, 72, formerly of Webster Springs passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at Davis Memorial Hospital.

Born July 9, 1949, he was the son of Mary (Moore) Snyder and the late Gerald B. Rose, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Veta Rose; and sisters: Mary Alice “Mousie” Hall and Brenda Brewer.

In addition to his mother, Mary Snyder, he is survived by his children: Kerry (husband, David) Johnson, Jody Rose, Gerald “Jay” (companion, Amanda Dillon) Rose, III, Billy (wife, Sheila) Carpenter, and Ira Carpenter; grandchildren: David Johnson, Beth Johnson, Alexis Davis, Sierra Davis, Abby Farley, Vivian DeBoard, Lucas Rose, Emma Rose, Desirae Schrader, April Carpenter, Billy Carpenter, Bobby Carpenter, Brandon Carpenter, Arianna Carpenter, and Shaylynn Carpenter; siblings: James “Shorty” Rose, Anna Jean Vandevender, and Sharon Davis; mothers of his children: Susan Rose and Sheila Rose; and a host of other relatives to mourn his passing.

Services to honor Jerry will be held 3pm, Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.  Friends may join the family one hour prior to the service time.
