Connie McCourt

Connie Lou (Tracy) McCourt, 70, of Webster Springs, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at home, surrounded by family.

Born October 17, 1949 in Webster Springs, she was the daughter of the late Wade Goff and Virginia Ruth Tracy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie Roscoe “Ted” McCourt, Sr.; brothers, Bill Tracy, Rick Tracy, and Roy Goff; sister, Carol Hamrick; and grandchildren, Roscoe McCourt and Jeremy McCourt.

Connie was a member of the Union Valley Union Mission Church where  she served as the Sunday School Secretary and was part of the local and district youth leaders.  She enjoyed being with her family, dearly loved her grandbabies, and loved being at the beach to watch the ocean.  She was a God-fearing, praying momma who was always saying a prayer for those around her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dennie (Karen) McCourt, Jr. and Gary (Sindie) McCourt; daughters, Debbie (Rocky) McCourt, Lisa (Tim) Carpenter, and Denise (Darrin) Clevenger; brothers and sisters, Brenda (Linwood) Hamrick, Victor (Tammie) Tracy, Brian Tracy, Jessie Sears, Brenda Wright, Susie Clayton, and Wendy Hamrick; brother-in-law, Jennings (Jodeen) McCourt; sisters-in-law, Shirley Stout and Ann Kamine; grandchildren, Tim, Chris, Elizabeth, Brandon, and Steven McCourt, Courtney and Coty Carpenter, Lindsey, Riley, and Harley Clevenger; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to mourn her passing.

Services to celebrate Connie’s life will be held 10am, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with the Reverend Gerald Hamrick and Brother Linwood Hamrick officiating.  Burial will follow at Harrison-Cochran Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Friends may join the family 6-9pm, Wednesday evening at the funeral home for a visitation.
