Catherine Van Skiver

October 19, 1931 — July 21, 2020

Catherine A. Van Skiver, 88 of Webster Springs, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cowen.

She was a Teacher, Poet, Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.

May her soul find Peace.

Cathy is survived by her children: Cathy Tarabulski (Denis McFadyen) of Olympia, WA; Michael Tarabulski (Sheila O’Brien) of Alton, IL; Noelle Tarabulski of Lakewood, CO; Estelle T. Eberhardt (Ralph) of Pennsburg, PA; T.J. Tarabulski of Chillicothe, IL; grandchildren: Celia Hulbert (Casey) of Kirkland, WA; Matthew Tarabulski of Ambler, PA; Demetria Tarabulski of Denver, CO; Lilli Tarabulski of University City, MO; Ben Eberhardt of Lakewood, CO; Ellen Eberhardt of Brooklyn, NY; Tania Tarabulski of Cape Canaveral, FL; and Seth Tarabulski of Chillicothe, IL.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Phillips; her husbands Joseph Tarabulski and Wilson VanSkiver; her beloved Joy Gibson; sons Thomas and Traelic Tarabulski; daughters, Regina Tarabulski, Helen Chesebro Tarabulski, and Mary Jo Tarabulski.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Moll and Jenny Phares, CLM officiating.

Cremains will be interred by Cathy’s family in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Webster Springs Elementary School or the Webster Springs Library.
