Zola Marie Payne, 80 of Upper Glade passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 16, 1933 in Webster Springs to Allen M. and Kate Callager Carpenter and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a factory worker for Soft Lite for 10 years and enjoyed her family.
Zola is survived by her sons Dallas Hines of Cowen and John Payne of Ohio; daughters Yvonne Smith of Cowen, Susan Payne of Webster Springs, and Patty Russo and Kathy Payne both of Ohio; brothers Frank Carpenter of Ohio and Lowell Carpenter of Webster Springs; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Myles B. Payne; and granddaughters Debbie Prunty and Tiffany Payne.
Friends may join the family for Memorial Services on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Green officiating. Interment will be in Isaac McCourt Cemetery, Webster Springs.
