William Joel McCourt, 71 of Diana, previously of Michigan, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. He was born June 23, 1941 in Harrisburg, PA to Merchie and Janis Cutlip McCourt. He was a United States Army Veteran and enjoyed hunting and fishing; fishing in the summer and hunting in the winter.
William is survived by his wife Margie Garvin McCourt; son Joseph (Tammi) McCourt of Toledo, OH; daughter Lucille (Larry) Weber of Toledo, OH; brothers Robert, Richard, and Junior McCourt; sister Violet; and grandchildren Patrick, Destiny, Alexa, Hailey, and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James; and sister Helen.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Holly River Baptist Church Cemetery.
