William Gregory

William J. "Bill" Gregory, 56 of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 in Heath, Ohio. He was born June 8, 1958 in Webster Springs to Arden Wesley and Mary Virginia Woodzell Gregory. He lived in Webster County most of his life but had moved to Newark, Ohio in recent years.

Bill was an active member of the community and will be remembered by the Woodchopping Festival for his participation with his beloved Belgium horses, in parades and horse pull competition. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Emmanuel Assembly of God church.

He is survived by his sisters Beth Gregory of Stony Point, NY, Carol Fink and Dolly (Dave) Sidle of Newark, Ohio, sherry (John) Soriano of Cedar Grove, NJ, and Cindy Radcliff Gregory of Charleston; brothers Frank (Donna) Gregory of Heath, Ohio and Mike (Gloria) Gregory of Webster Springs; step-daughter Valerie (Mark) Queen of NC; two step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends Bill and Barb Triplett of Bergoo. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may join the family to remember Bill on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Memorial Services to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Point Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice of the American Diabetes Association.
