William Burton McCourt, 60 of Webster Springs, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at CAMC General. He was born May 21, 1960 in Webster Springs to the late Wendell Burton and Irene Stanley McCourt and was a coal truck driver.
Burton enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, grilling, and loved his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Burton is survived by his wife Nancy Smallwood McCourt; sons Burton and Garrett McCourt; daughters Crystal Copley, Rachel (Jason) Hollingsworth, and Tanya McCourt; step-children, Joy (Fred) Meadows and Scott Butler; sisters Libby Hines, Miranda Wisner, Veronica (Roger) Crowe, and Rosetta (Rick) Howell; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Burton was preceded in death by his step-daughter Chrystal Stout and brother Gerald Stanley.
Funeral Services to celebrate Burton’s life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Isaac McCourt Cemetery, Webster Springs. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to service time at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home to assist with final arrangements.
