William "Johnny" Barnett, 74 of Upperglade passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. He was born April 16, 1940 to Ira and Eliza Barnett and was a log truck driver for Leslie's and an over the road truck driver for many years.
Johnny is survived by his daughters Carolyn K. Gillespie, Joyce K. Surgell, Brenda K. Barnett, and Lorie K. Akers; friends Doy and Jean Hall; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers and sisters.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Johnny's life will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Green officiating. Interment will follow in Handschumacher Cemetery.
