Warren "Pete" Stout

July 8, 1940 — June 14, 2017

Warren “Pete” Martin Stout, 76, of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born July 8, 1940 in Webster County, he was the son of the late Bud and Hilda (Matheny) Stout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anna “Jackie” (Davis) Stout.

Pete was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired surface miner.  He e He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Mountaineer fan. He had a great sense of humor, always having a joke to tell or a prank to pull. But, most of all, he preferred spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved and was very proud of.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sherry Lusk of Craigsville, Penny (husband, Perry) Brown of Hominy Falls, Tammy Stout of Cowen, Pam (husband, Jeramey) Burr of Summersville, Marty Stout of Nicholas County, and Dawn (husband, Fred) Monnett of Craigsville; grandchildren, Ricky Jenkins, Chris Johnson, Matt Stout, Michael Stout, Tiara Stout, Derrick Monnett, Gracie Burr, and Ciera and Shailee Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Deaunna and Riley Stout and Christian Jenkins; sisters, Patty Mathes of Webster Springs, Cordie Davis, Elouise Sandifer, and Connie Wills, all of OH; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services to celebrate Pete’s life will take place 2PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Dodd and Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs with Pastor Broe Davis officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to the service.
