Wanetta Hosey

May 30, 1938 — June 19, 2017

Wanetta (Cutlip) Hosey, 79, of Webster Springs, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

Born May 30, 1938 in Webster County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Millie (Cogar) Cutlip.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Glen Hosey; twin sister  Aretta Lowther, and sisers Desta McCloy, Estell Gilles, and Belva Miller.

Wanetta was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flowers.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Elvis Cutlip, Jessica (husband, Lonnie) Short, Charl (husband, Chuck) Jordan; grandchildren, Shaela Woody, Melody Norton, Jeremie Short, Charlie Jordan, and Chelsie Jordan; great-granddaughter, Madison Short; sister Joyce (Bill) Lawson; brothers, Roy (Hazel) Cutlip, Doy (Jean) Cutlip, and Charles (Betty) Cutlip; brother-in-law Obrey Lowther; friend of over 70 years, Peggy Howell; close friends, Mardell Kline and Leota Parsons, special neighbor and friend Patricia Riffle; special cousin, Brenda Frantz; and Charlotte Short who was like a daughter to her; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be held 2pm, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with the Rev. Eddie Bender and the Rev. Lonnie Casto officiating.  Burial will follow at the Dave Cogar Cemetery, Sugar Creek.  Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, two hours prior to the service time.
