Violet Virginia Sharp Fisher, 87 of Webster Springs, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cowen. She was born October 29, 1923 in Randolph County to Ed F. and Nellie Miller Sharp and retired from Walgreen Drug Store after 43 years of service as a sales clerk. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and a member of the Bergoo Baptist Church.
Violet is survived by her husband Glenn Fisher; brother Kenneth Denver Sharp of FL; sister Lela Cummings of Charleston; and special friends Ralph and Yvone Cool of Webster Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
