Truman Allison Lane, 86 of Streetsboro, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at his home. He was born July 24, 1930 in Adrian, WV to Mike and Opal Tenney Lane and spent the majority of his life in Ohio. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a retired truck driver for Standard Oil. He was a member of the Teamster’s Official, American Legion, and VFW, and was an avid golfer and pool player, and Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and was protestant by faith.
Truman is survived by his wife of 62 years Patricia Compton Lane; children Kent (wife Sylvia) Lane of New Mexico, David Lane, Debra (husband Kenneth) Olson, and Kevin (wife Donna) Lane, all of Ohio; grandchildren Jason, Chris, and Scott Olson of Ohio, Ryan Lane of New Mexico, and Sarah, Conor, Emily, and Carly Lane all of Ohio; great-grandchildren Alexandra Olson, Kaley Ferguson, Kori Ferguson, Tessa Lane, and Willa Lane; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Louise Stacy.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Truman’s life will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Dannie Burke McCourt giving the eulogy and Pastor Larry Cochran officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Harrison Cochran Cemetery, Webster Springs.
