Thomas “Tommy” Lynn Snyder, 53 of Diana passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division after a brief illness. He was born April 27, 1963 in Geneva, Ohio to Wayne Marshall Snyder, Sr. and Frances Kathleen Hall Snyder. He was raised in Webster County where he spent the majority of his life. He enjoyed playing guitar, animals, NASCAR, especially Kevin Harvick, the Cincinnati Bengals and WVU Mountaineers. He was a member of the Webster Springs VFD and was Protestant by faith. Tommy never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Tommy is survived by his parents; brother Buck (Ivy) Snyder of Rock Hill, SC, Jim (Becky) Snyder of Waxhaw, NC, and Bill Snyder of Webster Springs; sister Cheryl Bonhag of Concord, NC; brother-in-law Peter Bonhag; nieces and nephews Erin, Garrett, Meredith, Karie, Cory, and Drew; great-nephew Landon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dale Hall and the Webster County EMS, Webster Memorial Hospital, and CAMC General Division for their care and to the citizens of Webster County for their outpouring of love and support.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Bender officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery, Diana. Friends are invited to join the family to share memories of Tommy at Fran’s home at 292 Hacker Valley Road in Diana immediately following the services at the cemetery.
