Thomas Aaron McCourt

Thomas Aaron McCourt, 92 of Webster Springs, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Clay Healthcare Center. He was born November 23, 1933 in Webster Springs to the late Allen Andrew and Zora Payne McCourt.

Tom lived his life in Webster Springs until his health declined and he went to Clay Healthcare Center. He was a retired truck driver and a coal miner for Pittston Coal as well as a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his daughter Faith Elaine McCourt; brothers: Graydon, Dale, and Hayward McCourt; and sisters: Izetta Ware and Hazel Ratliff.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Steven McCourt, Thomas McCourt, Jr., and Timothy McCourt; daughter Sandra Rodriges; brothers: Arden McCourt and Tilden McCourt; and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Paul Rounds officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his daughter Faith in WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin.

Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to service time, from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
