Shirley Bennett

Shirley Ann Bennett, 70, of Webster Springs, WV, departed this life on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 in Memorial Division of CAMC, Charleston, WV.  She was born June 9, 1944 in Webster Springs, WV, daughter of the late Orden Velmer and Bessie Mae Scofield Hamrick.  She was a lifelong resident of Webster County, a homemaker, and a Methodist by faith.  She enjoyed her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.  She is survived by her husband:  "Pete" Bennett of Webster Springs, sons:  Jeffery Bennett of Webster Springs, WV, and Christopher (Kelly) Bennett of Sinks Grove, WV, brother:  Velmer Hamrick of Webster Springs, WV, sisters:  Charlesie Kennison of Dayton, OH, Patricia Wilson of Alma, WV, Glenda Beckwith of Slatyfork, WV, Rita Rockenfelder of Newton Falls, OH, and Judy Rose of Webster Springs, WV, and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be held at Dodd  &  Reed Funeral Home, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, with Rev. Arlin Carpenter and Rev. Eugene Rose officiating.  Burial will follow in Point Mountain Cemetery, Webster Springs, WV.  Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 17, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
