Sheryl Ann Funk

Sheryl Ann (Clutter) Funk, affectionately known as Ninny or Babydoll, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Born in Webster Springs on April 21, 1961, Sheryl was the daughter of Joann (Stout) Clutter, and the late Christopher “Paul” Clutter.

She attended The United Pentecostal Church in Webster Springs and worked for 27 years at United Bank where you could find her in the new accounts department, helping people get their accounts started. After retirement, she opened the Olde Lower Store in Webster Springs. Sheryl was very active in her community, serving on the Webster County Junior League Basketball Board, as well as the Webster County Woodchopping Committee. Some of her former duties included being treasurer and pageant director. She also served her community as a town council member. Sheryl liked the outdoors, and could often be found boating, camping, and swimming. She particularly loved being at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach or at the camp on Elk River. Above all, She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports and do what they love.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Vince Funk; her mother, Joann Clutter; sons: Quinton and Ryan (Ashley) Funk; grandchildren: Hayden, Liam, and Ethan Funk; brother, Chris (Rochelle Valure) Clutter; sister, Shannon (Mark) Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends, and her community to mourn her passing.

Services to celebrate Sheryl’s life will be held 2pm, Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rounds officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11am-2pm, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
