Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Mollohan, age 79, of Hacker Valley, passed into the Loving Arms of her Heavenly Father on May 14, 2026 at her home.
Sandy was born on October 9, 1946 in Webster Springs, the seventh of thirteen children, to George Thomas and Roxanna Mae Weese Tanner. She was a Christian by faith.
Over the years Sandy worked as a teacher’s aide at Webster Springs Elementary School, as secretary for Albert Summerville, at the Sears store and the Family Dollar store in Webster Springs. She enjoyed basketball and softball; and was always happiest when attending picnics and other family gatherings.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Clark Mollohan; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Richard Anderson; grandson Adam Anderson and his daughters Eleanor and Aurora Anderson; grandson Aaron and his wife Alayna Anderson and their children: Hailee, Carly, Bentley and Randy Anderson.
Sandy is also survived by sisters and brothers: Cora Mae, Noah “Buck”, Richard “Rat” (Nancy), Carolyn, Brenda, Ray (Beth), and Jeffrey Tanner; sister-in-law Judy Tanner; and aunt Audrey Weese.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Anita Tanner, Naomi “Peachie” Gregory, Walter “Sonny” Tanner, William “Willie” Tanner, and Linda Tanner; sisters-in-law: Linda Taner and Cindy Tanner; brothers-in-law Dana Gregory and William “Bill” Lewis.
Sandy’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Adoration Hospice for their compassionate care during her final illness. Also, grateful appreciation to the staff of Dodd & Reed Funeral Home for their care and kindness.
And thanks to special caregivers: Stacey, Tommy, Tom, Austin, James, Mary, Patrick, Hayden, Maddy, Chase, Sissy and Sandy’s special little buddy Michael. Their kindness allowed Santy to remain in her home during her final illness.
Family and friends may join Sandy’s family for visitation on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.
Services to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Cecil Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Radabough Cemetery, Replete.
Sandy was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is sadly missed.
