Ruth Grover

RUTH HAMRICK ISENHART GROVER, 98 of Webster Springs, died on June 25, 2016, at Luther Park Senior Living, in Sandpoint, ID.

Ruth was born on November 6, 1917, to the late Henry Lee Hamrick and Sarah Catherine Bennett of Webster Springs. A native of Webster Springs, Ruth spent most of her life in the Norfolk/Chesapeake, Virginia area with her late husband, Donald where they raised their three daughters. She and Donald operated a summer resort for many years on Ocean View Beach and later had her own antique business in Virginia Beach, VA. Ruth was very proud of her contribution to the WW II effort and often shared her “Rosie the Riveter” experiences with others.

Ruth is survived by her daughters: Cecelia G. Takach, Murray, UT; Donna L. Morrow, Priest River, ID and Sharon M. Williams of Chesapeake, VA;  eight grandchildren; Troy Takach, Scott Takach, Nichole Lee, Valerie Neal, Mona Sage, Stephanie Booth, Robert Williams and Sarah Hodges and eight great-grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husbands: Carl H. Isenhart and Donald J. Grover and all of her siblings; Alouise Andrick Klee, Paulette Smith, Elwood Hamrick, Thelma Burgess and Maxine Arthur and Elizabeth Cogar.

A graveside memorial service for family and friends will be held on September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Miller Cemetery, Back Fork Rd, Webster Springs with Pastor Arlin Carpenter officiating.
