Russell Ray "Bill" Postalwait, 89 of Webster Springs passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 at his residence.  He was born June 8, 1922 in Centralia to Earl Carl and Tishia Mowery Postelwait and was a coal miner for 42 years.  He spent his lifetime in Webster County, was a United States Army veteran, a member of the DAV, former member of the Moose Club; enjoyed making knives, woodworking, and hiking.

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara Jean Hines Postalwait; sons Stephen (Anita) of Webster Springs, Michael (Donna) of Summersville, Ronald (Darlene Gregory) of Buckhannon, and Rodney (Patricia) Postalwait of Summersville; daughters Debora (Buster) Clevenger of Webster Springs and Connie (Dannie) Burke of Sunnyhills, FL; brothers Ernest of Dividing Creek, NJ, Carl "Bud" of Diana, and Jackie (Geraldine) Postalwait of Webster Springs; sisters Mary Lou Case of Craigsville, Karen June (Terry) Lincoln of Jamestown, NY, and Bonnie Lou Price of Ft. Mitchell, KY; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Mary; brothers Richard and Edward; sisters Annabelle, Neoma Ruth, and Emma; and granddaughter Stephanie.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
