Ruby Harper

Ruby Jewel Harper, 83 of Cleveland passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 16, 1936 in Prenter, WV to the late Mander and Goldie Mullens Dotson. She attended Independent Baptist Church of Cleveland and was a homemaker.

Ruby is survived by her son James Harper, Jr. of Cleveland; daughter Lynn (husband Archie) Williams of Cleveland; brother Frank (wife Evelyn) Dotson of Winder, GA; grandchildren Camden (wife Timbra) Williams, Tracy (husband Joshua) McMillion, James Harper, III, and Wesley (wife Brookey) Clayton; seven great-grandchildren; caregiver Patty Cowger; and many other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Harper, Sr.; brothers Okey Dotson and Mander Dotson; and sisters Goldie Ann Sutphin and Justine Jerrall.

Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Life Cemetery, Cleveland with Pastor Chris Cosner officiating.
