Rosemary Barker

Rosemary Barker(nee Schrader), age 74, of Webster Springs, WV, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.  Born on November 25, 1949 in Grassy Creek, WV.   She loved spending time with family and friends, sewing, beach trips, cruising. Her grand baby’s and great-grand baby’s were her pride and joy.  For many years, she was a caregiver for many senior citizens of Webster County. Rosemary was a member of Bergoo Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters Debbie (Dave) Dorsey, Carol (Joe) Vasquez and Connie (Shawn) Dunlap and son Troy (Peggy) Barker. She is also survived by many grandchildren: Alishia (Gavin) Vasquez, Brianna Simpson , Bryan (Becky) Barker, Christina (Bradley) Vasquez, Elizabeth (Alex) Barnes , Logan (Bryant) Jimenez, Thomas (Jamie) Barker and Timothy (Marsha) Flint. Along with several great-grandchildren: Adaleah, Archie, Chase, Hailey, Izzy, Keegan, Kendall, Liam and Magnolia.  She is survived by her siblings, Jesse, Duane, Timothy, and George Schrader, Martha Sue Gratz; Glady Deck and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally (nee Payne) Schrader; father, Okey Schrader; her step-mother, Ruby Schrader. The father of her three daughters Roscoe May Jr. and late husband Hugh (Tom) Barker. Her siblings, Okey Schrader Jr., Shirley Kilkenny, Geneva Eubank, Henry Schrader, James Schrader, Nancy Jelinek and Freddie Schrader.  

A celebration of her life will be held at Bergoo Baptist church on Sunday, 17 March 2024. Friends may come for a viewing and last goodbyes at 1-2 PM followed by lunch provided by the church. Pastor Bennie Cowger will be officiating.
