Rosa Johns of Cowen passed away Sunday May 9, 2010 in Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness She was born in Erbacon, WV on May 22, 1922 a daughter of the late Ira and Cora Conrad Riffle. Also preceding her in death was husband, Warder Johns; son Bobby Riffle and granddaughter Lela Rosetta Holcomb. Rosa attended Cowen First Baptist Church, was a life long resident of Webster County, and enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardening. Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Ruby and Jake Holcomb of Craigsville; Erma and Bill Holcomb of Webster Springs; Reba and Olen Cowger of Webster Springs; and Virginia Sialamalikes of Cleveland, OH; 6- grandchildren; 3-Great-grandchildren; 4-great-great-grandchildren and 1-great-great-great-grandchild. Services will be held Wednesday May 12, 2010 in Adams-Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Carmel Sanson and Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Carpenter Cemetery, Erbacon. Friends will be received Wednesday May 12, 2010 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
