Roberta "Bobby" Norman

Roberta Doris ”Bobby” (Boggs) Norman, 91, of Cleveland, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord, Jesus, family and friends on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Nella’s at Autumn Lake in Elkins.

Born May 11, 1934 in Hacker Valley, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Iowa (Cogar) Boggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arden Norman; grandson, Wesley Brown; and siblings: Willow “Billie” Robinson, Reva Helmick, Margaret Springer, Elizabeth “Bessie” Graham, and three infant brothers.

Bobby was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques, especially glassware and old coins. She was an amazing country cook and loved having coffee with her neighbors and playing cards and Yahtzee! Through the years, the home she built with her husband became a gathering place for many family events and celebrations.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Allen (Terri) Norman of Daily, Scholastica “Scotti” (Joey) Martin of Birch River, Jill (Tim) Woody of Cleveland, Lincoln (Johnna) Norman of Cleveland, Charles “Chuck” (Donna) Norman of Hacker Valley, and Jeffrey (Faydra) Norman of Cleveland. She was a very blessed grandmother of thirteen grandchildren; twelve of whom also survive: Andy, Jason, Justin, Hobie, Chad, Ashley, Melony, Nickie, Arden, Brooks, Cody, and Cole; twenty great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Cleora “Nelle” Schmidt of Butler, PA; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be held 1pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Cecil Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Boggs Cemetery, Cleveland. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service time, from 12 Noon until 1pm.
