Robert Clevenger

d. August 14, 2014

Robert S. "Bob" Clevenger, 78 of Webster Springs went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 06, 1936 in Mudlick to Onie Earl and Maggie Gathel Groves Clevenger and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. He retired from the West Virginia Department of Transportation after many years as a truck driver and was Christian by faith, attending the Jumbo Community Church. Bob enjoyed trading, going to yard sales, and spending time with his family. You would always see Bob sitting in his rocking chair on the front porch waving at the neighbors as they drove up and down the road. He would always be singing a song and would have a smile for everyone he met. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years Mildred Berry Clevenger; sons Robert "Bobby" (wife Karen) Clevenger and Jeff (wife Goldia) Clevenger; daughters Linda (husband Cecil) Lake and Cheryl (husband Dan) Cutlip; brothers Dickie (wife Betty) Clevenger, Lloyd B. (wife Midge) Clevenger, Denith Ralph (wife Connie) Clevenger, and Delbert (wife Rosa) Clevenger; grandchildren Jeffrey Clevenger, Derek (wife Lora) Lake, Ryan Lake, Donovan (wife Courtney) Bicker, Brittany Davis, Katelyn (husband Scottie) Elliott, Joanna (husband Brian) Rose, Beth (husband David) Wilburn, and Barbara (husband Ron) Butler; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Thomas Ferrall Clevenger, Buddy Ray Clevenger, and Buster Clevenger; and sister Helena Dale Clevenger Cogar.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Sunday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor David Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Hodam Creek Cemetery.
