Paul "Big Ed" Cooper, 50 of Webster Springs passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Charleston Area Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born March 12, 1963 in Powellton, Fayette County, to William and Margaret Carson Cooper and was a truck driver for Elite Trucking Company until he became disabled. He was a lifelong resident of Webster County and will be missed by his family and friends.

Big Ed is survived by his mother Marge Cooper of Webster Springs; sons Kurtis E. Cooper of Morgantown and Mikel W. (wife Beverly) Cooper of Webster Springs; daughter Kristin M. Cooper of New Haven; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Big Ed's life will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Doy Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, 155 McGraw Avenue, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
