Parker Ray Bonner, 93 of Webster Springs, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, in Webster County Memorial Hospital. He was born on Point Mountain, near Webster Springs, on June 28, 1920, the son of the late George and Esta Conard Bonner. He was a miner and a farmer and lived all his life in Webster County. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed farming and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half brother Weymouth Swecker; and sisters Viola Bonner and Portia Cogar. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, August 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Point Mountain Cememtery. Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
