Oleva Gay Stutler Cutlip, 95 of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2015. We lost an angel, but Heaven gained one. She was born in Braxton County September 29, 1919 to Samuel and Ida Stutler. She attended school in Braxton County and was a graduate of Sutton High School. She was a retired postmaster from Curtin with 26 years of service. She was a 4-H leader for 20 years and a life member of the 4-H All Stars. She was a member of Barton United Methodist Church for the past 60 years where she was a Sunday School teacher, secretary-treasurer and M.Y.F. leader, as well as many other church activities. She was a member of the Methodist Women. She attended the Senior Citizen Forest Park Activity Center for many years. She enjoyed quilting and writing poetry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert (A.E. Ab) Cutlip; daughters Janet Cutlip Lynch and Barbara Cutlip Swiney; four brothers; and six sisters. She is survived by her sons Larry Cutlip of Ravenna, Ohio and Rick (Sue) Cutlip of Sutton; daughter Elaine Cutlip of Webster Springs; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and family. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Oleva's life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor C.E. Lynch and Pastor Brandon Moll officiating. Interment will follow in High Knob Church Cemetery in Sutton. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Oleva's name to Barton United Methodist Church, 583 Curtin Road, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
