Okey Hamrick

Okey O'Dell Hamrick Okey O'Dell Hamrick 71, of Webster Springs, WV, died on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, in Summersville Memorial Hospital, Summersville, WV. He was born May 5, 1938 in Bergoo, WV, the son of the late Luther M. and Mary Baldwin Hamrick. He was a life long resident of Webster County, a coal miner and attended the Family Worship Center in Webster Springs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his ATV and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Ernest, Dalvin, Denzil, Denver, Lou, and Hughie, and sisters: Arletta, Lucille, and Virginia. He is survived by daughters: Vickie Elaine Fisher of Diana, WV, Debra Kay McIe of Cowen, WV, and Cheryl Ann Rumney of Webster Springs, brother: Wilson Hamrick of Wallace, WV, step sons: Harold David Lough of TN, and Gary Lough of Baltimore, MD, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. Services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, WV, with Pastor Joe Clutter officiating. Burial will be in the Crouse Clifton Cemetery, Rt. 2, Webster Springs. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, at the funeral home.
