Oden Ballard "Bill" Anderson, 94 of Webster Springs, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Braxton Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 27, 1918 in Webster County to Earl George and Rebecca Cogar Anderson. He lived the past several years in Webster County and formerly lived in Cumberland and Elyria. He was a retired grinder from Pfaudler Co. in Elyria, OH and was Protestant by faith. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army, serving two tours, one in WWII and one in Korea. He enjoyed fishing and camping at Ohio Power. Oden will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Oden is survived by his son Earl W. Anderson of Diana; daughters Tina R. Lowe of Webster Springs and Donna Jo Coleman of Elyria, OH; sister Opal (Denzil) Chapman of Diana; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Neva, Esther, and Jewell; and his old fishing buddy Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Leone B. Anderson; brothers Coy, Mont, Donis, Raymond, Roy, and a still born brother; and sisters Thelma, Lena, and Ruth.
In keeping Mr. Anderson's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
