Novel James Parker, 70 of Cowen, formerly of Lorraine, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Webster County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born October 06, 1943 in Diana to Ernest E. "Bob" and Areta V. Tracy Parker. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service and returned to Webster County.
Novel is survived by his wife Debra Rose Parker; sons Tray (wife Wendy) Parker of Ohio and Eric (wife Teresa) Parker of Florida; daughter Victoria Lynn Parker of Ohio; sister Donna Sue Clutter of Bolair; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirley Tharp.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Novel's life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. James "Marty" Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Cochran Cemetery, Webster Springs.
