Norma Cowger

April 1, 1937 — November 25, 2016

Lavon N. “Tiny” Cowger, 79 of Hacker Valley, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Webster Nursing & Rehab Center in Cowen. She was born April 01, 1937 in Buckhannon to Evan Matthew McCartney and Jessie Gay Cooper and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She enjoyed family get-togethers, gardening, crocheting, and being outdoors.

Tiny is survived by her daughter Patricia Louise Deel of Webster Springs; brothers Ervin (Brenda) Cooper of Maryville, TN, Warren (Phyllis) Cooper, Paul (companion Mae Palmer), both of French Creek, and Alvin (companion Sandy Osborn) of Buckhannon; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Cowger; infant son Arden Ray Cowger; infant granddaughter Ashley Deel; one brother; and one sister.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Lavon’s life will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Reggie Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Hodam Creek Cemetery, Hacker Valley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Lavon’s name to Redeeming Grace Baptist church, 210 N. Main Street, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
