Naomi "Peachie" Ruth Gregory

Naomi Ruth “Peachie” Gregory, 88 of Webster Springs, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Mountain Memories in Elkins. She was born December 13, 1937 in Hacker Valley to the late George and Mae Weese Tanner.

Peachie retired as a mailroom contractor for NASA at Landy Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. She lived in Virginia for about 37 years, moving back to Webster Springs in 1996 and building her home on Airport Road. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed hosting all the family get togethers. She loved cooking for everyone who showed up at her house and never let anyone leave hungry. She loved her animals and feeding the birds. Her love for animals was evident in the care she showed her dogs throughout the years, including her latest dog, Okie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dana M. Gregory; longtime companion William “Bill” Lewis; brothers: Willie Tanner and Walter Sonny Tanner; and sisters: Anita Tanner and Linda Tanner.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers: Noah “Buck” Tanner, Ray (Beth) Tanner, Jeff Tanner, and Richard (Nancy) Tanner; sisters: Sandy (Clark) Mollohan, Carolyn Tanner, Cora Lindsey, and Brenda Black; favorite sister-in-law Judy Tanner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she graciously loved.

Funeral Services to celebrate Peachie’s life will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment will be in Deer Haven Cemetery, Webster Springs.

Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:30 until time of service at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
