Mildred McCoy

Mildred Miller McCoy, of Jane Lew, WV passed away Monday, May 9, 2011, at the age of 85. Mildred was born September 5, 1925 in Webster Springs to the late Adam and Grace Miller.

Mildred was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Lewis County Senior Center, the Grace Baptist Church of Jane Lew, WV, and a former member of the Elk Valley Chapel in Cherry Falls, WV. She and her husband owned and operated McCoy's Grocery for 34 years. She enjoyed visiting friends and neighbors.

Along with her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly McCoy; sister, Rosalene Isenhart; son, Greg Alan McCoy; and grandson, Skye McCoy.

Mildred is survived by her two daughters: Dinah (Oscar) Mills of Jane Lew, WV, and Linda (Robert) Blair of Bluefield, WV. Son: Bradley (Donna) McCoy of Ravenswood, WV. Brother: Adam Miller Jr. of Shallotte, NC. Grandchildren: Lori Blair Eaton, Kristie Blair Rutherford, Brian Boyce McCoy, Dale Keith McCoy, Trenton Mills and Skylar Mills, and six great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011, at 11 AM with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Services will be held at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs.
