Michael C. Spencer

On May 4, 2024 Mike Spencer tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

Mike was born in West Virginia on March 7, 1972. Due to his father’s career in the U.S. Army,  he moved around often with his parents, Ella Jane and James Spencer, but West Virginia was always home. Mike enjoyed every adventure with his older brothers Jeff and Tony and every opportunity to spend time with them, and his younger sisters Venus and Jamie, cousin Bud, and so many other family members and friends.

Mike married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Mary, on July 24, 1992. Mike and Mary cherished their life together, and three precious children: Clint, 30; Cara, 26; and Logan, 17. Mike and his family moved seven times during his 24 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Air Force. Although Mike was a proud and dedicated service member, he couldn’t wait to get home to his family after each deployment to be in his favorite role of husband and dad.

We will carry Mike’s story with us forever and have comfort in knowing that his spirit will always be near to guide us with his laughter, beautiful smile, immense love, and protection.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
