Mazie Anderson

Mazie Mallissa Anderson, 91 of Webster Springs passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 20, 1927 in Gauley River, WV to Odie and Margaret Dodrill Cogar and was a lifelong resident of Webster County.

Mazie was protestant by faith, was two-time farmer of the year, and enjoyed gardening, canning, and spending time with her family.

Mazie is survived by her children Tommy (wife Carol) Anderson, Ruth Ann (husband John) Mustoe, and Dale (companion Paige) Anderson; brother Leonard Cogar; special sister-in-law Bonnie Cogar; several grandchildren including one that she treated as her own, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer Anderson; son Richard Anderson; and brother Alva Cogar.

Friends may join the family for Graveside Services on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Anderson Family Cemetery with Rev. Steve England officiating.
