Maxine McCourt, 78 of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Webster County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 24, 1936 in Huntington to William and Pearl Blankenship Medley and spent several years in Webster County.  She married Clarence and moved from Huntington to Cleveland, Ohio where they spent 29 years before moving to Pittsburgh where they stayed for approximately ten years. After her retirement from the Railroad Credit Union they returned to Webster County where they enjoyed their life together. Maxine enjoyed attending Upperglade Holiness Church, cooking, sewing, and singing. She loved to spend time with her family and work in the vegetable garden.

Maxine will be missed dearly by her husband Clarence McCourt; daughters Christine Richards, Nancy McCourt, and Diana McCourt; sisters Shirley (companion Eddie Baumgardner) Booten and Lucille DiCenzi; grandchildren Misty and Heather; great-grandsons Cameron and Matthew; brothers-in-law Kenny Parkin and Dannie (wife Nancy) McCourt; sister-in-law Frances Odgers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Dorothy Jane Parkin.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Maxine's life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Cemetery, Elk River Road, Webster Springs.
