Mary Louise Skeens, 74 of Webster Springs passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home. Mary was born September 7, 1950, in Reynoldsville, WV and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby Bender Skeens. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Darron Joshua Skeens and a brother, Dr. Paul Skeens.
Mary enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1974. She also served in the space program and worked as private secretary for Gen. Chuck Yeager. Mary was a military contract worker for 16 years where she traveled to many places like, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, England, Alaska and California.
Surviving are her siblings, Richard Skeens and his wife Hope, Barbara Joann Siron and her husband James and also Mike Skeens and his wife Corinne; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Memorial graveside service, with military honors by American Legion Post #62 will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Harrison Cochran Cemetery, Webster Springs with Pastor Claudette Bender Wilcher officiating.
