Martha Ann Isenhart Brake, 96, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on May 28th in North Canton, Ohio after an extended battle with Alzheimer's.  She was born in Diana on September 28th 1916 and was one of 12 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph George and Blanche Alice (Cool) Isenhart and siblings Eula, Charles, Mattie (Shaver), Mary (Cogar), Jessie (Gregory), and Earl, Roy and Rose (Cogar). She is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Dutch" Brake, and grandson Michael Lee Brake.

Martha was a hard working person with various jobs in Webster Springs with her first job being a clerk at her Uncle JD Cutlip's store. She also worked at Walgreens Drug Store, Webco Studio and her final job before retiring was at Hammond Hardware. She loved making quilts, working in her garden, visiting with family and friends, reading, and music. She loved to travel spending several winters in Arizona with her son Randy. For the last 17 years, she lived in North Canton, Ohio near her son Larry and family.

Martha had a creative streak and helped her husband Dutch at their photography studio, Webco. Many area photographs and portraits (to include Senior photos) were hand tinted from black and white to color by Martha back before the invention of color film.

She is survived by loving family members: brother Orie Isenhart (Virginia) of Medina, Ohio and sister Roberta Woods (Junior) of Vesta, Virginia. Sons, Larry Brake (Suzi) of North Canton, Ohio and Randy Brake (Carole) of Goodyear, Arizona. Grandchildren: Sherri Brake Queener (Perry), Terri Brake Ware (Rodger), Shawni Brake Mahaffey (Jeremy), Kelly Brake, Lynne Green (Vince) and Paul Green. Great Grandchildren; Jessica and Hunter Brake McCourt, Sage and Mason Brake Recco, Makayla Lou and Rayden Brake Mahaffey, Joshua Strohm, Paul Green Jr., and Blake Green along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1st at the Miller-Gregory Cemetery, Back Fork, Webster Springs.
