Mamie Hamrick

Mamie Hannah Hamrick, 93 of Webster Springs, WV died in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.  She was born in Webster County, Sept. 20, 1917, daughter of the late George and Lydia Hogan Rose.  She had worked at the West Virginia Extension Office, and as an aide at Webster County Memorial Hospital.  She had lived her life in Webster County, was a member of the Point Mountain Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and walking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Leslie Hamrick, and son:  Harold Hamrick. She is survived by her son:  Mikel Hamrick of Webster Springs, WV, daughter:  Robert Speller of Colorado Springs, CO, sisters:  Roxie, and Gatha  both of Elyria, OH, and Valley McDaniels of Charleston, WV, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Nichols officiating.  Burial will follow in Point Mountain Cemetery, Webster Springs.  Friends may call from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 30, at the funeral home.
