Lula Bell Cogar, 76 of Webster Springs passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cowen. She was born March 6, 1938 on Gauley Mountain in Webster County to Ocar and Nettie Gregory Cogar and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and attended Holly River Baptist Church as well as various other churches. Lula Bell enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Lula Bell is survived by her sons Scottie (Teresa) Cogar and Doyal "Buck" Cogar, both of Webster Springs; brother Clyde Cogar of Webster Springs; sister Mandy Tonkin of Webster Springs; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Adrian Arden Cogar; sons Wyaman Cogar and Keith Cogar; daughter Linda Williams; and great-granddaughter Samantha Williams.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Lula Bell's life will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Posey officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Run Cemetery.
