Lora I. Cogar, 78 of Creston, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at her winter home in Lake Wales, FL. She was born October 16, 1934 in Webster Springs to Archie Gustavis and Dorcie Cogar Brady and was a Postal Clerk for the Post Office, leaving work in 1986 when her husband retired.
Lora enjoyed staying at her home in Florida during the winter, quilting, sewing, crafts, reading, gardening and canning. Family time was very important to her; she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and play cards with her family. She would always cook meals for the families in her neighborhood that had lost a loved one. In her younger years she enjoyed being a member of the bowling league.
She is survived by her son William C. Cogar of Amherst, OH; daughters Linda (Daryl) Kauf of Creston, OH and Joy L. Cogar of Dublin, OH; sisters Maralee Curry of Cleveland, OH and Glenda Hadlock of Strongsville, OH; brother, James Brady of Hillsboro, WV, and grandsons Chase Alexander Cogar and Jaxon Reed Cogar. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry I. Cogar; brother Clyde Brady; sisters Woneda Blauvelt and Grace Cody; and grandson Russell "Jake" Kauf.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Dave Cogar Cemetery, Sugar Creek, Webster Springs.
