Local Tracy

Local B. Channell Tracy, 98 of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 06, 2014 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1916 in Webster County to Powers and Laurel Carpenter Channell and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Webster County and attended Orndoff Community Church. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, and going to church. She always had a smile on her face and was a friend to many.

Local is survived by her sons Flymn Tracy of Randolph, OH, Richard (wife Wanda) Tracy of Webster Springs, Larry (wife Jaunita) Tracy of Atwater, OH, and Michael (wife Gail) Tracy of Indianapolis, IN; brothers Earl Channell of Webster Springs, Worthy Channell of Lodi, OH, Alba Channell of Clarksburg, and Kenneth Channell of Columbiana, OH; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Herbert Tracy; daughter Eleanor Tracy; brother Lonnie Channell; and two grandchildren.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Local's life will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Nichols and Rev. David Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in Hines-Clifton Cemetery, Diana.
