Larry Steven Bankhead

Larry Steven Bankhead, 70 of Diana passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his home.

He was born December 27, 1954 in Morgantown to the late Carros and Violet Groves Bankhead and was a carpenter by trade.

Larry was Christian by faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved taking drives and being out on the river for boat rides.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: Junior, Stanley, Gerald, Delmos Bankhead, Kenneth, James, and Rickie Bankhead; and sisters: Ella Groves, Lenora Jett, Wanda Groves, and Barbara Bratcher.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Hilda Clevenger Bankhead; son Ricky Doyle (Sherry) Bankhead; daughter Misty Dawn St. John; brother Raymond (Enree) Simmons, Doy Bankhead, and twin brother Gary Bankhead; grandchildren Machaela Dawn and Jason Michael Hugh St. John; many nieces and nephews; and extended family to mourn his passing.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
