Kenneth Edward Lynn

May 23, 1970 — July 15, 2025

Webster Springs

Kenneth Edward Lynn passed away suddenly on July 15, 2025, at the age of 55, with his wife Shelby by his side. Just a week earlier, he had joked to her that he would leave this world with a bang, and in his own unforgettable way, he did just that.

Ken was the kind of man you didn’t forget. He was a devoted husband to Shelby for 24 years, a loving father, grandfather, and a friend to everyone he met. Whether you knew him as Ken or Curly, you knew someone full of love, humor, and a good bit of mischief.

He loved hunting and bushcrafting (even if it drove Shelby half mad). He loved RC planes, had a passion for music, and grilling. A loyal Grateful Dead fan, Ken lived life on his own terms, right up to the end.

Ken was also a former Seabee and proudly served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He had a big heart, an infectious smile, and a voice always ready to sing. His presence filled a room, and his laughter was something you didn’t forget.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elery Lynn, his brother, Hoagie, and his favorite dog, Bella Blu.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Shelby; his mother, Fern Lynn, of Pennsylvania; his daughter, Sarah Reynolds (Alan) of Pennsylvania; his sister, Amanda Brandis (Jason) also of Pennsylvania; his son, Christian Lynn (Tesslyn) of Louisiana; and his brother, Jeffrey Mitchell (Georgette) of Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind two stepsons, Amos Hamrick (Erica Howell) and Nicholas Hamrick, both of Webster Springs.

Seven grandchildren: Evan, Nora, Lucy, Xavier, Ivan, his sidekick Zayden, and Aiden, who will carry his memory with them. One more granddaughter will make her appearance next month.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the funeral home to help cover cremation costs. A celebration of life will be planned for family and friends at a later date.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.doddreedfh.com.

Dodd & Reed Funeral Home is honored to be serving Kenneth's family.
