Keith Eugene Shafer

Keith Eugene Shafer, 52 of Mannington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at his home.

Born July 19, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kenneth Eugene and Evelyn Wilson Shafer. He was a coal miner and a member of the Walton Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed campfires, hunting, fishing, working the pipeline, and spending time with his grandbabies.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sibling.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons John (Carly) Shafer and Robert; daughters: Terisa (Jesse), Kayla, Amaya, and Ashley (fiancé’ Jeremiah); seven grandchildren; companion Melissa Simmons; aunts: Karen Kennedy and Joyce Sharp; uncles: Paul Wilson and James Shafer; cousins: Jason Proctor, Chuck Shafer, and Lisa West.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
