Obituary

Kathleen “Wimpy” Mae Clutter, 91 of Webster Springs, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Webster County Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 5, 1934 down Elk River to the late Okey and Edna McCourt Clutter and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, she was especially known for her fried chicken legs. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning; she loved watching and feeding the birds and liked to collect salt and pepper shakers. Wimpy also enjoyed spending time at Polly’s camp, sitting by the fire and roasting hot dogs.

Wimpy loved listening to her nephew David play music and spending time with her family and friends. She and Dana enjoyed traveling all around Webster and surrounding counties attending church, gospel sings, and square dancing. If there was music involved, you would find them there.

She was a devout Christian and attended Bergoo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Wimpy was preceded in death by her husband, Dana Clutter; sister Arlene Lowther; brother Harlon Clutter; and niece Shelby Clevenger.

Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews: Charlotte (Sonny) Helmick of Bergoo; Carolyn Allman, Donna (Frank) Murello, Patsy (Randy) McCoy, and Dewayne (Tammy) Lowther, all of Parcoal; Vicki Clutter of Webster Springs, Rick (Pam) Clutter of Webster Springs, Polly (Donzil) Quinn of Hacker Valley, Sally (Ralph) Tanner, Sylvia (Leroy) Green, David Clutter (Adria Moffatt), Dink (Wendy) Clutter, and Rusty (Kimberly) Conrad, all of Webster Springs; honorary granddaughter Emmie Hawkins; several great nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.

Funeral Services to celebrate Wimpy’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Evangelist Linda Click officiating. Interment will follow in Clifton Ford Cemetery, Webster Springs.
