Karen Louise Youngblood

Karen Louise Youngblood, 72 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born July 17, 1951 in Grandville, Michigan to the late Claude and Mary Ellen VanMalsen Kort.

She was a retired Custodian for the Municipal Employees System of Michigan and a faithful member of New Hope Community Church in Diana. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a loving and caring person. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and lived her life to the fullest.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Essex Linson; granddaughter Brianna; and brother Larry Kort. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Leslie “Sonny” Youngblood; son William Essex; granddaughter Shelby Lamrock; grandson MacKenzie Lamrock; great-grandchildren Iris Lamrock and Gabe Lamrock; sister Claudette “DeeDee” Umlor; brother Kim Kort; special friend Sharon Stoots; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

In keeping with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
