Josephine E Totino Cogar,83 of Sugar Creek departed this life Monday, August 24, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Josephine was born February 22, 1943 in Webster Springs to the late Fred Totino and Mabel Cowger Totino.
She was preceded in death by one son Vincent E. Cogar, her parents, son in law Bill Holleman, six siblings and her in-laws.
Josephine enjoyed baking and had also done some catering; she learned to cook at a very young age, baking her first bread at just 3 years old and at the age of 4 was making peanut butter candy. At 45 years old Josephine decided to go back to college and graduated with a Psychology Degree from Glenville State College.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years Garcie R. Cogar, son Bobby Cogar, Daughters Cathyrn “Lynn” (Mitchell) Gregory, Sharon Holleman of NC, Theresa (Mark) Burnside of Rock Cave, WV, Crisstina Cogar and Partner (Raymond Rodgers ) and Vivian Cogar of Webster Springs; stepson David (Cathy) Cogar of Webster Springs, and sister Kathleen Cogar of Florida; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and also numerous nieces and nephews .
As per her wishes a private service will take place at Dave Cogar Cemetery, Sugar Creek.
