Jessie Dale Cogar

Jessie Dale Cogar, 79 of Surveyor, formerly of Webster Springs passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Montgomery General Hospital Extended Care. She was born December 9, 1944 in Hacker Valley to the late Opha and Mabel Cogar and was an in-home caretaker.

Jessie enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting, arts and crafts, and anything outdoors. She loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She was Pentecostal by faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O’Dell Cogar; brother Harold Gale Cogar; sister Vera Miller; half-brother Bernard Mollohan; and half-sisters Neva Parker, Nada McCourt, and Mary Richmond.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Paula (husband William) Wilburn and Lisa (husband Kenneth) Neil; sister Peggy Martin; brother Gary (Rose) Cogar; grandchildren Michele (Mike) McIntyre, Jennifer (Deric) Pierson, Chris (Cheyenne) Spencer, and Jessica (Addison Zirkle) Spencer; great-grandchildren Devin Neil, Hunter Richards, and Alex and Zack Pierson; and many extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Memorial Services to celebrate Jessie’s life will be held at a later date.
